Our SKYWATCHER'S GUIDE is summary of "what's up" in the night sky published monthly. The content and photographs are contributed by our Flandrau Telescope Operators. Look at the Flandrau SKYWATCHER'S GUIDE today!
Would you like to become a Docent? Contact Rich personally (520-981-1480). We have an excellent four night system of personal tutoring to gain familiarity with our dome and equipment. Also, a three Saturday course is available (at no charge) to our operators to familiarize you with some of the astronomy "basics" you may need (in some cases). In any event, there is no pressure and we work together to develop an ideal training schedule suited to your needs. Most of all, we appreciate your willingness to assist. For over 30 years, Flandrau Observatory has been fully staffed by volunteers and many of our "crew" have been with us for over 10 years.
If you are having difficulty logging in or would like access permission, please E-mail Rich Watson (Astronomy Coordinator) or call (520) 621-3646 (O) or (520) 981-1480 (Mobile). Also, Kevin Hardegree-Ullman (Docent Assistant) for access and technical support.
